Greg Jones

CEO / Founder

For the past five years, Greg Jones has been an Angel investor, board member, and active advisor to early stage Internet (Viator, Consorte Media, TravelPost, Go10000 ), action sports (Surfparks), and “serious games” (LifeRocks) companies. In addition, Greg also spends a significant portion of his time managing various real estate investments.

Previously, Greg was the founder and CEO of WorldRes, one of the leading online hotel reservation companies. Starting in 1995, he grew the company network to approximately 35,000 hotels with over 2,000 web distribution partners. Despite the “dot com” collapse, he led the company to profitability in 2001 with $240 million of gross hotel bookings, placing WorldRes as the number three player in online hotel reservations. Prior to WorldRes, Greg was Director of the Advanced Technology Group at Synopsys, the leader in electronic design automation software. Before assuming this role, he held senior management positions in Systems Marketing, including Vice President of Marketing. Early in his career, he spent a number of years in management consulting with McKinsey & Company and Edgar, Dunn & Company. He holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts in Policy Studies and Economics from Dartmouth College.

Scott Mathews

Chief Creative Officer/Founder

Scott founded Fluid Entertainment in 1998 with one vision in mind: Enrich the lives of children. A decade later, Scott and his team have authored software titles for such high-profile brands as Pokémon, Harry Potter, Arthur the Aardvark, the Disney Princesses, Dungeons and Dragons, the Powerpuff Girls, and Mickey Mouse. Scott's creations have been translated worldwide across seven languages, and he has been Codie-nominated on two separate occasions for best educational title of the year. With twenty years of video game development to his credit and as industry leader, Scott continues to fulfill his creative vision.

Scott began his career in 1989 by creating and self-publishing Mahjong, a popular title for the Apple IIgs. This paved the way to working for Interplay as a producer. Scott was instrumental in the creation of Brainstorm, Interplay's successful and profitable children's software division.

Mathews joined Presage Studios, (founded by colleague and friend Dame Bingham, designer of Carmen San Diego), as Executive Producer in 1994. He creatively managed the 70-person development house through a period of rapid growth, leading the way to a successful M&A with Human Code/Sapient in 1998.

Having acquired private funding in 2007, Scott's creative vision is in full force on an as-yet-announced MMO for kids. The title will be published by Fluid for a 2008 release.

Scott double majored in Economics and Art from Grinnell College. In addition to his creative endeavors, his pastimes include a dedicated and daily practice of Yoga, and avidly collecting board games from around the world.

Jennifer Chapin

VP Marketing/Founder

Jennifer brings with her the success of her former game board company, USAOPOLY, with total revenues exceeding $200 million (www.usaopoly.com). She started the company in 1993 to create, manufacture, and market specialty editions of Hasbro's premier brands, including Monopoly, Clue and Scrabble. The agreement provided, for the first time, customization of the world's most famous board games, becoming Hasbro's #1 licensee. Jennifer spearheaded USAOPOLY's significant growth and licensing deals with such brands as Universal, Warner Bros., NASCAR, NFL, PGA, MLB, Coca-Cola, Ford, Harley Davidson, Disney, Star Trek, Batman and others. During her tenure, staff quadrupled, revenues doubled four consecutive years, and volume topped one million plus units.

Leaving her company in 2000 Jennifer helped to launch the charity portal (www.justgive.org). She then made the decision to merge the skills acquired during her career to form Liferocks Coaching & Consulting to become a business development coach. She trained with San Francisco's prestigious New Ventures West Institute. In early 2005 she decided it was time to take the skills learned from the coaching arena and combine and leverage her skills in the games business to build another company. Conscientious to merge her love of business, games and start-ups she joined forces with Greg Jones and Scott Mathews.

Her career has encompassed roles in start-ups, business development, marketing, sales, licensing, product development and driving an occasional fork-lift and trucks. With the merging of these core experiences Jennifer’s interest and commitment is in collaborating with smart, fun, passionate people, harnessing technology and entertainment while having an innovative impact on the world. She holds a BA from the University of California at Berkeley. In her free time she enjoys a myriad of sports (a former competitive tennis player and now want-to-be golfer), cooking and entertaining, mentoring and sits on the business advisory council for Women for Women International (www.womenforwomen.org).
